Lowell & Julie are a married duo who strive to turn their obstacles into opportunities. They have shared their story via the Amazing Race Canada, motivational speaking, and the documentary series Mind Set Go. Now they want to share others’ stories—overcoming obstacles and seizing opportunities. As Tokyo 2020ne draws near, conversations will focus on athletes— both para and able bodied!
Lowell— who is legally blind as a result of Retinitis Pigmentosa— is a Senior Carded athlete with Sport Canada. He competes in track and road paracycling, and also runs his own practice as a Registered Psychologist working primarily with first responders. As a lifelong fitness advocate who dabbles in a random variety of sports, Julie is an ambassador for Fast & Female. She’s a Speech-Language Pathologist by trade, but spends most of her time raising their two young boys, snuggling/exercising their St. Bernard, and supporting Lowell as he pursues his dream of competing at the Paralympics. Together, they competed on Season 4 of the Amazing Race Canada, and hosted two seasons of the documentary series Mind Set Go which used Paralympian stories to inspire everyday Canadians.
Welcome! We hope you join us as we share stories and empower mindsets.
